๐ About Color Converter
The Color Converter takes a HEX color code and instantly shows the equivalent RGB and HSL values, each with its own copy button. You can type a six-digit code such as #ff3a73 into the text field or choose a color visually with the color picker, and the results update as you go.
The three formats describe the same color in different ways. HEX packs red, green and blue into a compact string that is common in CSS and design tools. RGB lists those three channels as numbers from 0 to 255, which is handy for code and image editing. HSL expresses hue as an angle from 0 to 360 degrees plus saturation and lightness percentages, which makes it easy to create lighter, darker or muted variants of a brand color by adjusting a single number.
The text field accepts six-digit HEX codes; three-digit shorthand like #f00 should be expanded to #ff0000 first. HSL values are rounded to whole numbers. All conversions are calculated in your browser.

โ FAQ
Can I enter a three-digit HEX code like #fff?
The converter expects six digits, so expand shorthand by doubling each digit, for example #fff becomes #ffffff.
Does it support transparency (alpha)?
No. The tool converts opaque colors only, so eight-digit HEX codes with alpha, RGBA and HSLA are not supported.
Do I need the # symbol?
No. The # is optional when typing, and the RGB and HSL results will appear either way.
When is HSL more useful than RGB?
HSL is convenient when you want to adjust a color intuitively, such as making it lighter by raising lightness or creating a palette by keeping the hue fixed.
