📝 About Markdown Preview

Markdown Preview lets you write Markdown on one side and see the formatted result on the other, updating as you type. It’s a lightweight way to draft README files, blog posts, notes or chat messages and check how headings, emphasis and links will look before you publish them.

The preview supports the most common Markdown syntax: headings from # to ######, **bold** and *italic* text, `inline code`, fenced code blocks with triple backticks, bulleted lists starting with - or *, and links written as [text](https://…). Links open in a new tab. More advanced features such as numbered lists, tables, images, blockquotes and task lists are not rendered, so use this tool for quick drafts rather than as a full GitHub-style renderer.

For safety, any HTML you type is shown as plain text instead of being executed, and only http and https links become clickable. Your text is processed entirely in the browser — nothing is saved or uploaded, so copy your Markdown somewhere safe before closing the page.

❓ FAQ

Are tables and numbered lists supported?

No. The preview covers headings, bold, italic, inline code, code blocks, bulleted lists and links. Tables, numbered lists, images and blockquotes appear as plain text.

Can I use HTML tags inside the Markdown?

HTML is escaped and shown as text rather than rendered. This prevents unsafe scripts from running in the preview.

Is my document saved?

No. Nothing is stored or uploaded, so refreshing or closing the page clears your text. Copy it out before leaving.

Can I export the result as HTML?

There’s no export button. The tool is meant for previewing; copy the Markdown source to use it in your editor or platform.
