📝 About Crop Image
This tool crops an image to a fixed aspect ratio — 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 or 16:9 — by keeping the largest possible area from the center of the picture. You don’t have to drag a selection box: pick a ratio, press Crop, and the edges that don’t fit are trimmed evenly from both sides or from top and bottom.
Center cropping is handy whenever a platform expects a specific shape. Square 1:1 images suit profile pictures and product thumbnails, 16:9 fits video thumbnails and slide backgrounds, and 3:4 or 4:3 work well for portrait and landscape photos in blogs or shop listings. If your subject sits near the middle of the frame, the result usually needs no further adjustment.
The pixels themselves are not scaled, so the output keeps the original resolution within the cropped area. PNG files stay PNG, while other formats are saved as high-quality JPEG. Everything runs on a canvas inside your browser, so your photos are never uploaded to a server.

❓ FAQ
Can I choose which part of the image to keep?
No. The tool always keeps the center of the image and trims the edges evenly. If your subject is off-center, consider a manual editor instead.
Does cropping reduce image quality?
The cropped area keeps its original pixel resolution. PNG output is lossless, while JPEG output is re-encoded at high quality, so any loss is minimal.
What format is the result saved in?
PNG images are saved as PNG. All other formats, such as WebP or GIF, are saved as JPEG with “-cropped” added to the file name.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Cropping is done with a canvas in your browser, and the file never leaves your device.
