πŸ“ About Remove Spaces

Remove Spaces cleans up messy whitespace in text with four one-click actions. Trim lines removes spaces and tabs at the start and end of every line, Collapse spaces turns runs of spaces or tabs into a single space while keeping line breaks, Remove all spaces deletes every whitespace character including line breaks, and Remove blank lines drops lines that are empty or contain only spaces.

Text copied from PDFs, web pages, emails or spreadsheets often carries stray indentation, double spaces and empty lines that break formatting when pasted elsewhere. This tool is handy for preparing data before importing it, tidying a list of names or addresses, cleaning code snippets, or stripping spaces from serial numbers, phone numbers and account codes.

The actions modify the text in place and can be combined β€” for example, trim lines first, then remove blank lines to get a compact list. Be careful with Remove all spaces on normal sentences: it joins every word and line together, which is useful for codes but not for prose. Your text is processed locally in the browser and is never sent to a server.

❓ FAQ

Does Remove all spaces also remove line breaks?

Yes. It removes every whitespace character, including tabs and line breaks, so the whole text becomes one continuous string.

Will Collapse spaces merge my paragraphs?

No. It only shortens runs of spaces and tabs within a line; line breaks are kept as they are.

Is there an undo button?

There’s no dedicated undo, but you can usually press Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on Mac) in the text box, or keep the original text elsewhere before cleaning.
